Director of Marketing

Job Purpose/Summary
The Director of Marketing – Canada is responsible for creating, designing and developing strategic and tactical marketing plans designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand across Canada.  The role will lead, mentor and empower the current marketing team to execute implementation.  Develop and execute strategies and programs for new product rollout and launch.  Collaborate with Corporate and U.S. Marketing teams on North American marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop a comprehensive and aligned strategic marketing plan for the Canadian and Mexico business
  • Lead and drive the implementation of marketing activities across Canada and Mexico
  • Drive sales insight and preference for the brand
  • Identify key growth drivers and opportunities to grow brand and product sales in market
  • Support sales team efforts to win business through development and management of presentation templates, key proposals, and custom presentation design to support key client pitches
  • Brand development and building reputation/awareness across Canada and Mexico, in alignment with corporate brand direction
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing and Product & Innovation Teams, to develop and execute strategies and programs on new product rollout and launch
  • Manage, develop and execute direct marketing campaigns, trade shows, lead generation, advertising, social media marketing and thought leadership
  • Provide creative direction for advertising and communications campaigns, leading the design of other team members through positive art direction; ability to individually create visual designs including illustrations, brochure and ad design, content layout, etc.
  • Deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns across all channels, supporting the Canadian Sales organization with lead generation within both the financial institution and retail markets
  • Develop, own and manage all marketing service supplier relationships in Canada and Mexico, negotiating the best commercial terms
  • Market research – leveraging secondary and generating primary – working in conjunction with Chief Marketing Officer
  • Web – content direction developed locally; development and overall execution through corporate web team
  • Supports Canadian public and media relations activities, in conjunction with Chief Marketing Officer and Corporate Director of Public Relations
  • Budget management to yield measurable results
  • Monitor and report on marketing campaign effectiveness and return on investment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Five years’ experience within the marketing field, preferably in both B2B and consumer marketing
  • Degree in related field
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong individual design capabilities, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; multimedia capabilities with Adobe Final Cut, Audition and After Effects a plus
  • Strong written communication with ability to write for multiple formats and audiences (newsletters, ads, brochures, white papers, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, and any other languages an advantage (Spanish)

  • Protects and enhances the value of the Cardtronics brand in Canada
  • Drives the development of new business leads to support the growth of Cardtronics revenue amongst both financial institutions and retailers
  • Leads customer loyalty assessment studies to improve customer retention
  • Executes marketing deliverables – trade shows, direct marketing, user group sessions, etc. – to support new and expanded revenue growth
  • Leads the development of internal communications components to assist human resources in employee retention efforts
  • Drives market research studies to support competitive and market intelligence needs in expansion of the business
  • Expands consumer awareness and creates transaction-driving initiatives for Cardtronics ATMs through the execution of social media programs and financial institution marketing programs
